Cloverfield – 5 min!

A movie just isn’t a movie these days unless at least the first five minutes of it is released online prior to the film’s release. We’ve seen it with I AM LEGEND, SWEENEY TODD, and AVP-R, so it’s no surprise that CLOVERFIELD is now jumping on the bandwagon… yes, now YOU can watch the first five minutes of CLOVERFIELD by checking out the video below!

I’m not really sure where this fascination of revealing the movie is all about. Personally, if it’s a movie I plan on seeing in the theater, I don’t watch these kinds of videos because I’d rather save the experience for the big screen. If I’ve already seen it, why pay to see it again, right?

When I was a kid I watched this MTV special for the upcoming WAYNE’S WORLD 2 – I was so stoked cause they showed like all sorts of funny ass clips and previews of the movie. When I finally went to check it out, I realized that I was shown all the funny parts… it was like I had already seen the damn movie before! So anyway, I was disappointed, and I haven’t ruined a movie like that for me since.
