It’s that time again! The JoBlo crew is in San Diego for Comic-Con 2026, and we’re prepped and ready to go for another whirlwind few days in and out of Hall H. So, what are we expecting to see this year? It’s hard to say because, truth be told, I thought the major reveal was going to be the Avengers: Doomsday trailer. But, as we all saw, they dropped that sucker on Monday, so Marvel likely has something else in mind for its giant panel on Saturday night.
Here are some of the panels we’re most excited about:
I’m a giant fan of Adam Wingard’s The Guest and am happy to see he’s returning to that style of gonzo action for Onslaught, which comes after a detour into the MonsterVerse with two successful Godzilla x Kong movies. Onslaught stars Adria Arjona but also has a very fanboy-friendly cast that includes Michael Biehn, Reginald VelJohnson, Rebecca Hall, and even Dan Stevens in a mystery role. Could he be reprising his role from The Guest? We should see some footage, possibly along with a new trailer.
Prime Video’s riff on the Blade Runner universe has been shrouded in mystery, but it’s about to make a big impact at Comic-Con. Hopefully, we’ll see the first trailer and get more insight into the content of the show, with the only thing known so far being that Michelle Yeoh plays an aging replicant and Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer co-stars.
This is going to be one of the hottest panels of the year. The whole cast, including Bill Pullman, Daphne Zuniga, and even the great Dark Helmet himself, Rick Moranis, is in town to launch Spaceballs 2: The New One. We saw some footage at CinemaCon, and it’s possible they’ll use Comic-Con to launch the first trailer, which would be one of the biggest events of the week.
Apple TV has a huge panel on Saturday, right before Marvel’s Hall H presentation, where it will preview its upcoming film slate. The movies include the Ryan Reynolds-led Mayday, which already has a trailer, but the panel will also offer our first look at the John Cena-led Matchbox: The Movie.
Of course, this is the GIANT event that makes this year’s Comic-Con a must-attend. The last time Marvel was here, it announced that Robert Downey Jr. would be playing Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. Who knows what it has in store for us this year? Perhaps some new Avengers: Doomsday cast members? Or maybe the new X-Men will be revealed?
