Compound B to taste Strange Blood at AFM

The American Film Market kicks off next month and Blieberg Entertainment's genre division Compound B has lined up an intriguing new project to pitch to buyers at the AFM with STRANGE BLOOD, which will mark the feature directorial debut of photographer and production designer Chad Michael Ward, according to Screen Daily.

While plot details are scarce at the moment, we do know that the film follows…

…a doctor whose research into a panacea goes out of control.

Pearry Teo will produce through his Pearry Teo Presents label aimed at discovering emerging genre talent. Rosie Zwaduk and Elissa Eve are also producing while Ehud Bleiberg and Nicholas Donnermeyer serve as executive producers for Compound B.

Production on STRANGE BLOOD is set to begin in November on the project starring newcomer Robert Brettenaugh stars alongside Alexandra Bard (below).

Director Ward shared…

“I cut my teeth on dark and morbid imagery in the early days of my photography, so I couldn’t ask for a more exciting or more appropriate return to horror than with this unapologetic bloodbath of a story."

Dark and morbid imagery. Unapologetic bloodbath. Those are exactly the kind of descriptive terms I like to hear about an upcoming flick! Hopefully we'll learn more about the film (perhaps a synopsis?) soon.
