CON: Batman 3 in 2011?

JoBloJoBlo

UPDATE: Well, that didn’t take long. Seems Oldman might’ve spoken too soon, and is already back-tracking somewhat. AICN just sat down with the man, and now he’s saying “…well, I’m sure they want to do another one… it might 2 or 3 years.” You’d think someone at WB would have given him a “lesson” about how COMIC CON works. Oh well…

Hey everyone, just a quick update from San Diego! During the Warner Brothers panel, Gary Oldman came on stage to talk about THE BOOK OF ELI (check out its trailer HERE) alongside Denzel Washington. People love those guys like crazy here, so all the questions were aimed at those two.

One person asked the obvious question: when’s the next BATMAN movie? And Gary replied: “We start shooting next year. You didn’t hear that from me.” And there you have it! From Oldman himself, the next BATMAN movie, if started next year, should be out in 2011!

To scoop the whole Warner Bros. panel, including what we saw from WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE, SHERLOCK HOLMES, THE BOX, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST., and JONAH HEX, head THIS WAY, and stick around for more updates from the Con as we hear it!
