A couple weeks ago came the inkling that Mr. Law & Order himself Christopher Meloni (above) was set to join the 5th season of “True Blood.” Well, according to TV Line, an official deal has been made!
Not only that, a few more details were given about Meloni’s character, which was previously described as being a “powerful vampire.” Here’s the update:
In the words of series creator Alan Ball, Meloni will play “an ancient, powerful vampire who holds the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands.”
Okay, not much of an update to his actual character, but rather the impact his character will have. I don’t watch the show, so I have no idea who the hell Bill and Eric are. If a main character has to go down thought, why not at the fangs of Mr. Meloni? Might make me tune in…
Likely to premiere next Summer – Scott Foley, Lucy Griffiths, Dale Dickey, Louis Herthum and Kelly Overton (below) also join the 5th season of the HBO hit.
