Controversial A Serbian Film coming to U.S. in both edited and unrated formats

Srdjan Spasojevic’s A SERBIAN FILM has been causing all kinds of controversy. Most recently, the director of the Sitges Film Festival was under investigation for exhibition of child pornography for screening the picture. Want to know what all of the hype is about? Your chance is coming.

Invincible Pictures will release an edited cut of the film in select theaters on May 13. It would be cool to see it on the big screen, but why waste your hard-earned money on a censored piece? On the same day, FlixFling will release the unrated version of the film via digital media distribution. It’s nice to see someone with some balls for a change!

An aging porn star agrees to participate in an “art film” in order to make a clean break from the business, only to discover that he has been drafted into making a pedophilia and necrophilia themed snuff film.

The movie marks the directorial debut of Srdjan Spasojevic, who co-wrote the script with Aleksandar Radivojevic. Despite all of the controversy, the movie actually had its world premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival in the Texas last year.
