The guys over at Fangoria scored a
really cool poster today for the film CONJURER, and the story behind the
poster is even cooler than the imagery itself.
CONJURER
is about a couple who move to an
isolated rural farmhouse in order to mend following the stillbirth of their
child. This being a horror film, husband and wife soon find their problems
compounded by the haunting of the property by a ghostly presence which manifests
itself in murderous ways.
Now the cool thing about the poster
is that director Clint Hutchinson told Fangoria the
following about it: “An evil crow figures prominently in
the film, and we found a creepy photo from an art photographer in Scotland named
David Herd. He discovered a dead crow in his yard one day, and decided to do a
photographic study of it. One of the images was perfect for our poster.”
I think this is one of the cooler posters that I’ve seen in a while, and it’s
even cooler that the inspiration comes from a real life event. No word yet
on when filming will begin on CONJURER, but you can click
here to see what else Hutchinson had to say to Fangoria.
