Today, the boys at B-D scored the first-look at the poster for David Goyer’s upcoming attempt at horror… THE UNBORN! The poster features star Odette Yustman in ‘screaming wet’ mode, and I don’t know quite how to pin-point it… but this thing flippin’ rocks!
THE UNBORN is about an 18-year-old who is haunted by a Dybbuk – the soul of a dead person barred from heaven – in the form of a young boy who perished in Auschwitz. In a way, the poster follows in the footsteps of other posters featuring the film’s heroin in a state of fear… specifically the posters for FUNNY GAMES and THE STRANGERS. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, as it’s actually a pretty effective image.
The tag line is also creepy, as you don’t really know what wants to be born, other than whatever it is… you don’t want to be there when it happens! To check out the full poster, click HERE, and get ready for THE UNBORN in theaters everywhere January 9th.
