Cool Videos: Batman: Arkham Knight announce trailer is pretty awesome

While we still have a couple of years before we see a live action Batman on the big screen in Zack Snyder‘s BATMAN VS SUPERMAN, there’s still a few ways to enjoy the exploits of The Dark Knight until then, one of them being through video games, particularly the Arkham City franchise from Rocksteady Games. The final chapter in the franchise, Batman: Arkham Knight has revealed its announce trailer today, which features a four-minute long cinematic trailer that not only highlights another solid entry in the game franchise, but teases the potential of what a new live-action Batman could look like. For me, that’s always the coolest thing about the cinematic trailers and this one certainly hits the sweet spot.

Check it out:

Here’s the official game description:

“In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever.’

“Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.’

“Be The Batman.”

Batman: Arkham Knight is scheduled for release later this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. BATMAN VS SUPERMAN hits theaters on May 6, 2015.
