Cool Videos: Blade Runner 2049 trailer recut with 80s pizzazz

There's no denying that the trailer for Denis Villeneuve's BLADE RUNNER 2049 highlights some of the film's striking imagery and jaw-dropping cinematography, but what if someone offered you a re-tooled version that was all decked out to look like it was released in the 1980s? You'd be into that, right? Well, that's precisely what Screen Crush and YouTube user The Sleepy Skunk has prepared for those of us who enjoy some good old fashioned No Smoking ads or cigarette burns in our trailer footage. To be honest, the effort given to this thing is something to be commended. When you check it out for yourself, you'll see that the trailer's got that old timey grain, fuzzed-out audio, and gritty feel to it that only the 80s could produce. Or, you know, a bunch of savvy video tools. Regardless, give the trailer a gander and prepare to be transported to when days were golden:

BLADE RUNNER 2049 takes place thirty years after the events of the first film, in when a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

In addtion to Gosling, the film also stars Harrison Ford, Jared Leto, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Edward James Olmos, and Mackenzie Davis. BLADE RUNNER 2049 is scheduled for an October 6, 2017 release.
