Cool Videos: Check out this incredibly bad ass concept trailer and poster for Wonder Woman!

Now this is impressive. Latino-Review has an exclusive promotional trailer for WONDER WOMAN up, and it’s a doozie. First though, some background information:

Jesse V. Johnson has been a stuntman or stunt coordinator for such films as THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, THOR, and BEOWULF. He’s also directed a few films like THE PACKAGE and THE BUTCHER. Johnson is interested in working with bigger studios so he decided to shoot a concept trailer to show off his talents. The idea to do a trailer for WONDER WOMAN was his manager’s:

It was my manager / producing partner Kailey Marsh’s idea to shoot the trailer.  She really believes I should be a studio director, and thought shooting Wonder Woman would be a great way to show off my skills in a fun way that people could get excited about.

Jesse V. Johnson and his team at Station Three gathered a crew together that included Nina Bergman (as the lead), actor Peter Stormare, and cinematographer HC Van Urfalian to work on the trailer and it looks fantastic. Dear DC: THIS is how you should do a Wonder Woman movie!

You might not all agree with that statement (there’s a little too much 300 style slow motion at times, but it IS just a concept trailer) but it is certainly better looking than the David E. Kelley Wonder Woman pilot that NBC rejected. There’s definitely a Captain America vibe to it (and not just because there are Nazis in it) and that’s a good thing in my opinion.

And it doesn’t hurt that Nina Bergman looks incredibly hot in those shorts.

Hopefully like previous directors that have made concept trailers to gain notice (Kevin Tanchareon’s MORTAL KOMBAT: REBIRTH and Dan Trachtenberg’s PORTAL: NO ESCAPE), Jesse V. Johnson will get someone’s attention and he’ll be rewarded with a sweet studio deal.

Take a look at the poster and video below. Is this the Wonder Woman you’d want to see on the big screen?
