No one told Ewan McGregor they were making Star Wars spin-offs!

Now, informing an actor who appeared in the Hated Trilogy that you are making more films set in the STAR WARS universe, does not mean they won’t eventually offer him a role. But, Ewan McGregor‘s surprise that they were making spin-off films aside from STAR WARS EPISODE VII, VIII, and IX does still come across a bit funny.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host asked McGregor if anyone at Disney or Lucasfilm had reached out to him about a role in the potential Boba Fett or Han Solo movies. McGregor seemed completely unaware of the development, which is not surprising, but it did lead me to think that Obi-Wan Kenobi would likely be able to return for either of those films, especially if they take place between the Prequel and Classic trilogies. McGregor has aged enough that he could play Kenobi convincingly as a slightly older Jedi.

I hope they find a way to work McGregor into the films. I think he was the best part of the Prequels and is an all around good actor. What do you guys think?
