Could Amy Adams be messing with creepy kids in The Orphanage remake?

You guys do realize that there’s a remake in the works of the highly acclaimed Spanish film THE ORPHANAGE, right? Don’t feel bad if you forgot about that shite, we haven’t heard zilch from the project since way back in February – and even that news was that director Mark Pellington was sick of waiting to make the film. So what’s the deal with the project?

Unfortunately news today isn’t that Warner Bros. have decided to call it quits on the remake, but instead that they’ve apparently got their eyes set on a multi-Academy Award nominated actress to star in the film. So that pretty much came out of left field, didn’t it?

According to the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting the actress I’m getting at is the beautiful and talented Amy Adams! B-D says Adams has met with Warner Bros. regarding the role but no offers have been made just yet.

If everything falls into place, Adams will be playing “Laura”, a woman who takes over the orphanage where she was raised, to open a home for disabled children. Then her young son begins to play with the same imaginary friend who terrorized her when she was a child.

So there you have it folks. Stoked to hear Warner Bros. still have this ORPHANAGE remake kicking around? How about Amy Adams? Could you see her in this role? Spit some bullets below with how you’re feeling about all this and be sure to keep it here for more news on THE ORPHANAGE remake as we hear it.
