So as you can see… breaking news in the HALLOWEEN 2 news world! First up we have Bloody Disgusting dropping the good word that relative unknown Chase Wright Vanek (above) has been pegged to step into Daeg Faerch’s shoes and become Young Michael Myers. Well the kid certainly has the look down, I’ll give him that. I’m actually liking this kid a lot more than Faerch. He’s got the innocent little boy look but with that hint of evil underneath… in my opinion Daeg was all evil and no innocent. Works for me. Word is Vanek is on the set as we speak so there’s that.
Next up we have the replica mask that recently popped up over on ThePropShopSite.com. Apparently this mask caused a little stir as to whether it was authentic from the film or not… it’s not. Here’s the description from PropShop: Our Psychopath H2 mask is based on Toth’s sculpt for the new Halloween due out in Aug. Our H2 mask is the most detailed mask we’ve ever offered! Screen accurate sculpt, paint and hair. Each mask is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Very limited, 100% hand made, not mass produced. So take from that what you will. Basically they designed their own ‘Psychopath’ mask and are trying to make a chunk of change in hoping this is going to be the mask from H2, which won’t be confirmed until we actually see some stills from the flick… but it’s still pretty cool!
