Craig Robinson teams with Brooklyn Nine-Nine producers for new series

 'Twas a fine moment on Friday when I'd learned that Craig Robinson is re-teaming with Brooklyn Nine-Nine showrunners Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici for Peacock's upcoming comedy Killing It.

Co-created by Goor and Del Tredici, The comedy explores class, capitalism, and one man's quest to achieve the American dream. Oh, and it's also about hunting really big snakes. If you don't know what to make about that last part, don't worry, you're not alone. (via THR)

Robinson, who has a recurring role on NBC's Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Jake's (Andy Samberg) friend and nemesis, Doug Judy (aka the Pontiac Bandit), will lead the upcoming series that has already received a script-to-series commitment for the streamer. In short, if executives dig the script, Killing It will get a series order pickup and forgo the process of developing a pilot episode.

In addition to penning the script, Goor and Del Tredici will also executive produce alongside Robinson and his manager Mark Schulman of 3 Arts. Previously, Schulman and Robinson joined forces for Fox's supernatural sitcom GHOSTED, which starred the comedic actor opposite Adam Scott. The Schulman and Robinson duo also teamed for MR. ROBINSON, a sitcom that featured the actor as a high school music teacher and part-time musician.
