Crazy trailer for Small Apartments, starring Matt Lucas, Juno Temple, Rebel Wilson, and yes, Dolph Lundgren

Yet another weird and crazy trailer has surfaced, following on the heels of the recent WRONG and THE MIND OF CHARLES SWAN III.  Matt Lucas (BRIDESMAIDS) stars in SMALL APARTMENTS as a man who inadvertently kills his landlord, setting off a chain of events that may well lead to his salvation.  The film has an ecclectic mix of co-stars, including Billy Crystal, James Marsden, Rebel Wilson, James Caan, Amanda Plummer, Juno Temple, Peter Stormare, Rosie Perez, Saffron Burrows, DJ Qualls, David Koechner, Johnny Knoxville, and, oh yeah, Dolph Lundgren.  That’s an intriguing batch of stars any way you slice it.

Lucas looks just…well…hideous, kind of like a live action Stay Puft Marshmallow man, minus the hat.  However, his blend of humor and the overall tone of the film looks too compelling to turn away.  SMALL APARTMENTS is directed by famed music video director Jonas Akerlund, who has also dabbled in features before (SPUN, HORESMEN).  The film could very well fall flat on its face, but I’m definitely giving it a shot, as this amount of strange with such a healthy cast can’t be ignored. The film originally premiered at SXSW last year and is now finally seeing release.

Take a look:

Here’s the synopsis:

When a clumsy deadbeat accidentally kills his landlord, he must do everything in his power to hide the body, only to find that the distractions of lust, the death of his beloved brother, and a crew of misfit characters force him on a journey where a fortune awaits him.

SMALL APARTMENTS will have a limited theatrical run starting February 8, 2013, transitioning to VOD on February 19, 2013.
