Creating Dr. Manhattan

JoBloJoBlo

WATCHMEN Sci Fi Wire recently landed the most recent behind-the-scenes video journal for WATCHMEN, the Zack Snyder directed adaptation of the seminal Alan Moore graphic novel of the same name, and if you’ve got a little time, it’s definitely worth a look-see. This installment focuses on how the visual effects team realized Dr. Manhattan, the glowing blue demi-god of the Watchmen universe, and his freeballin’ nuts on the big screen. Dr. Manhattan’s human alter ego, Dr. Jon Osterman, is played by Billy Crudup and, in the story, a radiation accident turns him into a radiant, cerulean super human with an extreme clothes aversion and the ability to manipulate matter at a sub-atomic level, see all time happening at once and scare commie bastards. Check it out over HERE. See him in all his splendor on March 6th of next year.
