After the success of Evil Dead, Sam Raimi was set to take his next gig with the weird comedy neo-noir film Crimewave (WATCH IT AND OWN IT HERE). While low-budget movies are always a tough road, he had no idea what firestorm he was in for when the movie began to roll. From budget cuts to producers doing everything they could to get Bruce Campbell out of this movie, what ensued is a shocking tale of the loss of filmmaking innocence as Raimi and company are thrust into the studio business. Directed by Sam Raimi and starring Bruce Campbell, Louise Lasser, Brion James, Paul L. Smith, Crimewave has the following synopsis: 

A pair of whacked-out cartoon-like exterminator/hitmen kill the owner of a burglar-alarm company, and stalk the partner who hired them, his wife, and a nerd framed for the murder, who tells the story in flashback from the electric chair.
