As some of you out there have been counting down the days for the last 14 years know, 2 hits theaters everywhere this Friday. To kick off the media blitz, MILF of the Year 2006 Sharon Stone sat down with for an interview, and revealed an interesting tidbit of what have been for PART 2.
Apparently David Cronenberg, who has kicked cinematic ass as one f*cked up film director over the past 30 years, was in the talks of directing BASIC INSTINCT 2! Yeah- WHAT? Was he in the talks, or did they just want him on board? Here’s what Stone had to say:
He had really great ideas, but that would have been a very different kind of movie… I think they just got afraid, ’cause he’s so inventive, and I think they just got afraid that his ideas weren’t going to be mainstream.
Right. Well, his ideas may never be mainstream, and that’s exactly why he kicks so much ass. I’m so glad he decided to stay away from PART 2. Not that I can predict it’s going to be a crappy flick, but I’ve seen the trailer… and yeah, if those are the ‘best’ parts of the movie, then it’s only going to go downhill from there.
