Blogdecine recently spoke to Nacho Vigalondo, who directed the original LOS CRONOCRIMENES (TIMECRIMES). In the interview Mr. Vigalondo stated that none other than David Cronenberg may tackle the project!
That’s some beautiful news. In the past few years Mr. Cronenberg has put his sci-fi genius aside to tackle more serious projects like A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE and EASTERN PROMISES. Even though those flicks were pretty damn good… it’s great to hear that Cronenberg (above) may be back to his sci-fi roots. Personally… my favorite Cronenberg film was EXISTENZ. I loved that flick.
Of course Cronenberg’s credits include more well known flicks like THE FLY and VIDEODROME, but I’m still sticking with EXISTENZ.
Mind you, Cronenberg isn’t attached to TIMECRIMES at all, this is still in the negotiation stages, so we’ll keep you updated.
