Cuban zombie flick Juan of the Dead scores itself a couple teaser trailers!

You guys remember back in May, when Ammon told you all about a new horror/comedy heading our way called JUAN OF THE DEAD? Of course you do! This shite, which is a blatant rip-off of SHAUN OF THE DEAD and it knows it, is actually looking like a pretty fun time. I’m not talking so bad it’s good either, I’m talking about a straight up entertaining flick. Though that was just a first impression…

Today we have a little bit more on the Alejandro Brugues project to help us decide if this one is going to be worth our time. You see two brand new teaser trailers for the flick have just popped up on this here interwebs and we’ve got them over in our videos section! Or if you don’t feel like clicking around I’ve also gone ahead and tossed up both trailers below for your viewing pleasure. A 40-year-old slacker named Juan notices that people are beginning to turn violent. As a zombie epidemic spreads through Havana, he decides to make a quick buck, offering to slay people’s infected relatives. But as the zombie plague reaches national proportions Juan has to concentrate on his survival.

Good times. Alexis Diaz de Villegas is starring in the film as the titular character with filming set to start on this little diddy next month in Cuba. I don’t know about you guys but JUAN OF THE DEAD still has a firm grasp of my interest, and I’m sure I’m not alone. As soon as we hear more on the project we’ll be sure to pass the good word along to all of you so keep it here for that!
