Dimension films have purchased the comedy TOUGH LOVE, inspired by the life of New England Patriots player Tebucky Jones, a beast of a man, who realises one day that his kids have grown up to be a bunch of brats. Like any responsible father would, he decides the best course of action would be to dump them on the mean streets of Oakland where he had grown up himself. Ice Cube (GHOSTS OF MARS) is attached to star. Expect him to use a lot of his go-to move, the ‘Ice Cube Frown’.
This is like the anti-PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS. A dad realises his kids have it too good and so decides to dump them in the hood to fend for themselves. Thomas Carter (COACH CARTER – that’s his last movie, not his cool director nickname) is set to direct.
