Over a month ago we told you about Dimension’s idea of chopping the film down (see article HERE), but at that time it was still just an idea, and nothing set in stone… until now…
You’d think that with the failure of DARKNESS, they’d figure out that trimming down R rated horror films to PG-13 is box office suicide (as well as just plain stupid). But no, Dimension, against Craven’s wishes, has cut down CURSED, meaning weak violence, weak language, weak sex… why not just tune into the WB or FOX any night of the week?
At one time I was optimistic about the horror-project-from-hell, but not anymore. Everything CURSED has going for it screams an R rating (Craven, writer Kevin Williamson, big tittied Christina Ricci, werewolves), take that away and you got nothing. Thanks a lot Dimension! You’d better not ass-f*ck us on the DVD- that shite better be unrated!
The bitched out version of CURSED hits theaters February 25th.
