Last month Eric gave you our first look at the upcoming board game adaptation BATTLESHIP, helmed by Peter Berg. It showed a naval fleet going up against aliens, yeah I don’t remember that in the game either. We got to see lots of Liam Neeson and Taylor Kitsch, but no Rihanna. Well that has been rectified as the first official photo of her from the film has been released.
The singer is making her film debut with BATTLESHIP, and in the new photo (below) she looks rather badass! Not sure I buy her as a Petty Officer, but with the weapon she’s holding and her natural tough attitude, she’s looking good. I am not too sure what to make of this film as a whole; it looks like a cross between TRANSFORMERS and INDEPENDENCE DAY.
A fleet of ships is forced to do battle with an armada of unknown origins in order to discover and thwart their destructive goals.
The film will hit next year on May 18th. Rihanna will star along side Liam Neeson, Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgård, Brooklyn Decker, Joel William Gonzales, Tom Arnold and Hamish Linklater.
