Dan Gilroy reunites with Jake Gyllenhaal & Rene Russo for new Netflix movie

In his directorial debut, Dan Gilroy crafted a sleek, disturbing thriller which featured Jake Gyllenhaal as the remarkably creepy, yet charming, Lou Bloom. After shopping around a project which would see Gilroy reunite with NIGHTCRAWLER stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Rene Russo, Deadline reports that Netflix has snagged the as-yet-untitled drama film after a heated bidding war. Dan Gilroy's next project, a legal thriller by the name of ROMAN ISRAEL, ESQ., recently wrapped principal photography but does not currently have a release date. Sony is said to be eyeing a fourth-quarter release which will place it in a prime slot for awards consideration.
