Heaven as the setting of a workplace comedy, why the hell not? Toss in Daniel Radcliffe as an angel and Steve Buscemi as God and you've certainly got my attention. Created by Simon Rich, and based upon his book "What in God's Name," Miracle Workers is an upcoming TBS anthology-series which stars Radcliffe as a low-level angel named Craig who is responsible for handling all of humanity's prayers. Steve Buscemi's God has pretty much checked out at this point and is ready to move on to his next project: a restaurant. Unfortunately that means that the Earth is going to have to be destroyed, and in order to prevent Earth's destruction, Craig and fellow angel Eliza (Geraldine Viswanathan) must answer a seemingly unanswerable prayer: help two humans fall in love.
Miracle Works will debut on TBS on February 12, 2019.
