Daniel Radcliffe talks Wolverine casting rumors

Daniel Radcliffe has been at the center of Wolverine fan-casting for quite some time now and now the actor is taking the time to finally address those casting rumors.

Radcliffe has been making the rounds promoting The Lost City and during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Harry Potter actor was once again asked about possibly playing Wolverine in the MCU. Radcliffe seems flattered by the rumors but he says that he has not been asked once (officially) about actually playing the role since these rumors started back in 2019:

“This is something that has come up every so often for the last few years and every time it comes up I’m like, ‘That’s not true, there’s nothing behind that’ and everyone’s like, ‘Ah he said it might be true!'”

Radcliffe has admitted to getting bored answering the Wolverine question so he’s begun to joke about it. Radcliffe’s trolling on the matter only seems to ignite the rumors more:

“So the other day I was like, ‘Prove me wrong Marvel…’ and then that has ignited a whole thing. But yeah, I think it’s because Wolverine in the comics is fairly short – I think it’s people going, ‘Who’s a short actor? Him! He could maybe play him!'”

You have to love how these things take off. To be fair, Radcliffe is height appropriate to what Wolverine is in the comic books so I do agree that’s why some of the rumors started. Plus his hair is already close to potential Wolverine styling and he’s no stranger to rocking a beard. Perhaps Radcliffe should let this rumor have some life.

Do YOU think Daniel Radcliffe would be a good Wolverine?
