Don't Breathe Daniel Zovatto

In the Fede Alvarez film DON'T BREATHE, which is currently in theatres and doing quite well at the box office, Daniel Zovatto plays a character who runs into serious trouble when he and two companions break into a blind man's house in search of $300,000. Now Zovatto has signed on to co-star in another money-minded thriller, director Lucky McKee's MISFORTUNE.

Written by Jared Butler and Lars Norberg, MISFORTUNE tells the following story:

Sharp, quick-witted businessman Miller left everything behind, including his family, to start a new life after embezzling a client’s money.  All had been going according to plan until he becomes separated from his cash in the middle of the wilderness. Three young friends happen upon the lost fortune, and a desperate and violent Miller will do anything to get his money back.

John Cusack will be playing Miller, and Zovatto is set to play Curt, one of the three friends who are tempted by the large sum of money they find. Sounds like sort of familiar territory for him.

Joining Cusack and Zovatto in the cast is Willa Fitzgerald, who horror fans may know from MTV's Scream: The Series. She will be playing the girlfriend of one of the three friends.

MISFORTUNE is scheduled to begin filming in Savannah, Georgia on October 3rd, and it definitely sounds like a movie I'm going to want to check out once it's released.
