Dark Floors premiere

The last we told you about Finnish monster movie DARK FLOORS, we showed you some new stills for the flick. Well since then the premiere has come and gone over in FInland.

Over 3 thousand people gathered in Oulu, Finland for the biggest film premiere in Finland, ever! That’s impressive. To read up some more on the premiere and the film, head on over here and here.

The synopsis for DARK FLOORS reads: Concerned for her autistic daughter’s health, the father sees a removal from the hospital by force as the only option. An elevator break-down prevents a smooth exit and renders them trapped with others. Yet the incident is only the beginning of a descent into nightmare. As the doors open the hospital appears mysteriously deserted. When mutilated bodies are found, creatures from a dark world start a frightening attack. It soon becomes clear that the survival of the group may rest solely on the little girl.

DARK FLOORS comes from the Finnish band Lordi, who came up with the idea and play the monsters in the flick. Pretty convincing monsters too. It’s directed by Pete Riski and written by Pekka Lehtosaari. It stars Noah Huntley, Skye Bennett, Philip Bretherton, William Hope, Ronald Pickup, Leon Herbert, Ossi Mykkänen, Dominique McElligott, and of course, Lordi.

From what we’ve seen the past several months, DARK FLOORS looks like one awesome monster movie and it’s only a matter of time before it hits the US. When that wonderful day comes, we’ll definately let you know. Meanwhile check out the video below, which consists of footage from DARK FLOORS, it’s premiere, and the Lordi performance after the premiere.

Huge thanks to Tuomas for the heads up on all this and for putting the awesome video below together.

I’d love to be stuck in a hospital with her.
