With Darren Lynn Bousman’s MOTHER’S DAY finding the release of a f*ckin’ death-row convict, questions about his follow up film, 11-11-11, were legitimately warranted. After-all, the success of the film seems largely hinged on the quasi-gimmicky tie-in release date.
So, the question is, will 11-11-11 come out the day of?
Thanks to Rocket Releasing and Big Air Studios, YES IT WILL. With the studios taking North American rights, 11-11-11 will play theatrically in 15 major-market cities across the country, starting November 11th. It will do business against Clint’s J. EDGAR and Tarsem Sing’s IMMORTALS.
After the tragic death of his wife and child, famed American author Joseph Crone travels from the United States to Barcelona, Spain to reunite with his estranged brother Samuel and dying father, Richard. However, fate has a different plan for Joseph as his life becomes plagued with strange happenings, and the constant sightings of the number 11. Curiosity quickly turns to obsession, and Joseph soon realizes that this number holds a horrific meaning not only to himself but possibly to all of religion.
