David Alan Grier joins pilot Cool Kids from Always Sunny team

With the success of ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, the gang (Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton) have produced and created a new TV show COOL KIDS for FOX. Here's the official synopsis:

Cool Kids revolves around three guy friends in a retirement community who are the top dogs until they’re blown out of the water by the newest member of the community, a female rebel who’s ready to challenge their place – it’s high school with 70-somethings.

I love it! And the cast is great! David Alan Grier (JUMANJI…and countless other films) is the newest addition to the cast, which includes Vicki Lawrence, Martin Mull, and Leslie Jordan, who all play the main rambunctious retirees. I fucking love ALWAYS SUNNY, so I'll give anything they do a chance. Hopefully it's more like when Matt Groening decided to make FUTURAMA, and less like when ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT's Mitchell Hurwitz followed his show up with RUNNING WILDE…

No release date as of yet, as this is just a pilot, but we'll keep you updated as this develops.
