Update: David Ayer shares the first photo of the cast of Suicide Squad

Update: El Mayimbe of Latino-Review is reporting that Jim Parrack has replaced Joe Manganiello in the role of Deathstroke because they decided to go younger with the character. Ike Barinholtz and Adam Beach, the other two new cast-members, are said to be playing Dr. Hugo Strange and Ravan respectively. Keep in mind that while these actors are appearing in the film, the identity of their roles is purely rumour at this point.

The age of Twitter is a great time to be a movie fan; directors and actors alike are sharing set photos and interacting with fans on a level previously unheard of. Of course there's also a dark side to Twitter, such as the inevitable day when one of my followers goes back far enough and discovers that I'm wanted for a string of prostitute murders. Just call me Redjac.

David Ayer has been one of those directors eager to share with his fans and today he posted a photo of his entire cast at their very first table read of SUICIDE SQUAD…minus Jared Leto; check it out!

Looks like we have some newcomers to add to the ever growing cast, this photo includes Adam Beach, Jim Parrack, and Ike Barinholtz putting in their first appearances. If you're wondering why Leto was not included in the photo Variety reports that it's because he's currently on tour with his band 30 Seconds to Mars, but we also know that the band has postponed their scheduled April 10th gig in Dubai due to Leto's commitments on SUICIDE SQUAD so I don't know what to believe! Leto's transformation into the Joker is still underway; several days ago Leto posted a photo on his Instagram teasing the next step of his transformation.

SUICIDE SQUAD begins filming very soon for a August 5, 2016 release.
