While we patiently (or disinterestedly) wait for the announcement of another FINAL DESTINATION film, we’ve got a very similarly-themed flick in development to quench our thirst for seeing people f*cked over by a mysterious force. The film in question is called BAD LUCK, and will come to us from production company Entertainment 7 and FINAL DESTINATION 2 and 4 director David R. Ellis. Who else?
The film will ask the question: “What if all our superstitions were real and deadly?” A group of skeptical college friends find out the hard way when superstitions come between them and those they love. It is essentially guaranteed that someone will step on a crack and their mother’s back will break. Mark my words.
The screenplay is being written by genre vet David J. Schow (THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING) and produced by former New Line exec Mark Ordesky (THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy).
No other details are available as of yet, although according to a promo image on the company’s Official site (different than the one you see above), the flick will be in 3D! Gasp!
