Look, a press release!

This Sunday, June 3 MOVIE GEEKS UNITED!, one of the most popular motion picture-themed radio programs on the internet, will broadcast a special 2- hour tribute to the unique and trailblazing talents of David Lynch. During the broadcast, which airs live from 6 – 8pm (eastern) and will later be made available through archives, will feature interviews with a bevy of creative talents who have previously worked and spent time with him.

Toby Keeler (childhood friend of Lynch’s and producer/director the documentary film “Pretty As a Picture: The Art of David Lynch”), Martha P. Nochimson (author of “The Passion of David Lynch: Wild at Heart in Hollywood”), Douglas Murray and Mark Jan Wlodarkiewicz (supervising sound editor and assistant sound editor, respectively, on “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me”) and Shawn Levy (feature critic from ‘The Oregonian’) will all participate in the celebration.

“This is the first episode of our Director’s Series, a quarterly program devoted to one of our most talented and influential filmmakers,” says Jamey DuVall, producer, co-writer and co-host of Movie Geeks United!, “It’s impossible to imagine a more perfect candidate for this first show than David Lynch.”

An internet radio show hosted by three knowledgeable, passionate and hysterically funny cinematic fanatics, Movie Geeks United! features weekly movie talk on subjects as diverse as “The Big Lebowski” and “Can Movies Inspire Real-Life Violence?” The show airs live every week at 6pm eastern/5 pm central at www.blogtalkradio.com/moviegeeksunited. Listeners may tune in during the live broadcast or download for free once the episode is archived. People may also subscribe to the podcast through Itunes.
