DC Fandome generates 22 million views during its Saturday showing

This past Saturday's DC Fandome event has officially been labeled as a major success after it was determined that the event garnered 22 million views across 220 countries and territories during its 24-hours online. The experimental show, which had been presented by WarnerMedia, played host to a series of exclusive reveals for DC's upcoming films, television shows, and video games. Having watched a majority of the show for myself this past weekend, I can vouch for its outstanding quality and I sincerely hope that fans will be treated to more events like this one in the years to come.

“We really wanted to put together an event that would super-serve the fans,” Warner Bros. TV group CMO Lisa Gregorian said in an interview with Variety.

During the virtual event that boasted at least eight hours of content, DC unveiled trailers and behind-the-scenes footage for some of its most anticipated movies, including WONDER WOMAN 1984, THE BATMAN, THE SUICIDE SQUAD, and the Snyder Cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE. The show also featured first-looks for upcoming DC video games, like WB's Gotham Knights and Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Since that time, the trailers have amassed more than 150 million views with no signs of slowing.

DC Fandome was a major hit across social media platforms as well, with fans across Twitter and YouTube pushing the event to trending status thanks to their passion for superheroes, celebrities, and beyond.

From where I was sitting this past Saturday, DC Fandome arrived as a well-orchestrated and exciting event for fans of the beloved comic book brand. The company went above and beyond to bring a diverse cast of presenters and characters to the stage and even managed to lay the groundwork for their future plans with clear and decisive messaging. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Disney and Marvel make some major changes to their next D23 event on account of the overwhelmingly positive response to Fandome.
