Dead Fiancee funny

Good news and bad news kids. I heard from writer/director Jeff Lowell this weekend about his project HOW I MET MY DEAD BOYFRIEND’S FIANCEE. We’d previously told you about it here, and commented on the utterly fantastic title, but also admitted we knew close to nothing about it. Well according to Lowell it’s definitely not a genre piece:

It’s actually not horror – it’s a comedy. Logline: A female psychic falls in love with a skeptic, while the ghost of his dead girlfriend tries to keep them apart.

So that’s the bad news. The good news is that it sounds pretty awesome, and as noted in the previous article, Lowell was a staff writer on THE DREW CAREY SHOW and SPIN CITY. Both of which were smart and really damn funny.

For those of us who still wait for another horror/comedy entry to shift the balance on that underutilized approach away from SATURDAY THE 14TH and toward HOUSE, guess life’s full of disappointments.

Big thanks to Jeff for clarifying the issue and best of luck to him. Obviously he’s one of the good guys.
