Dead Matter remake

Now this may possibly be the only remake that I
will ever get on board with, and technically it’s not even a real “remake”, but
simply a sprucing up!

We got word today that the production company
Midnight Syndicate Film’s is teaming up with Robert Kurtzman’s Precinct 13
Entertainment to bring the film THE DEAD MATTER to the big screen.

The film, which is about a
vampire relic with occult powers that falls into the hands of a grief stricken
girl who will give anything to see her dead brother again, is to be
directed by Edward Douglas, founder of Midnight Syndicate Film.

Douglas has actually made the movie once before
in 1996, but only with a budget of $2000. Now with his further success in the
industry, mostly with horror soundtracks, he’s ready to once again bring THE
DEAD MATTER
to the silver screen in a big way. Currently the company is in
talks with both Doug Bradley and Andrew Divoff to star.

The movie has yet to begin filming but that
hasn’t stopped anyone from putting a website up. Click

produce.
