Last month we heard the engine on DEATH RACE 3 revving up, with stars Danny Trejo and Tanit Phoenix (both from part 2) set to reprise their roles in the DTV B-movie. What we didn’t know then that what we know now? Who will write and direct the sumbitch. Well friends…one down, one to go!
Killer Film is reporting Tony Giglio, who wrote DEATH RACE 2, will jump back in the driver’s seat for DEATH RACE 3 as well. Word is a tentative 2012 release date is being eyed, though a director has yet to be announced.
Giglio also wrote IN ENEMY HANDS, CHAOS, TIMBER FALLS and the upcoming ARENA. DEATH RACE 3 will mark his 6th writing credit, debunking the notion that Paul W.S. Anderson wrote a script for part 3.
