Just the other day we presented you with the teaser poster for the James Wan-directed, DEATH WISH-esque thriller DEATH SENTENCE (based on a novel by the writer of DEATH WISH, no less), starring Kevin Bacon as a mild-mannered executive who goes postal after his family is terrorized by a vicious gang. Now we have a bunch of stills to show you, thanks to the friendly folks at Fox.
As you can see, things initially seem pretty cheery for Bacon, wife Kelly Preston and their two grown boys. But thanks to the nasty looking hoods below (led by Garrett Hedlund, seen with John Goodman) – Bacon’s smile turns upside down and the cold handshake of a gun is the next order of business.
DEATH SENTENCE opens August 31 – against, of course, HALLOWEEN. I don’t know if Kevin has enough bullets to put a halt to Michael Myers. Hell, I’ve seen the guy get hit by a pickup truck and it didn’t bother him! I swear I have!
