Fans campaign for Joe Manganiello Deathstroke HBO Max series

It's been a couple of weeks since the debut of Zack Snyder's Justice League, and it didn't take fans long to start campaigning for WarnerMedia to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse, which includes the director's cut of David Ayer's Suicide Squad. It turns out that fans are also eager to see more of Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke as they're calling upon WarnerMedia to greenlight a Deathstroke film or TV series for HBO Max.

The hashtag has been trending for much of the day, which certainly points to some interest in seeing Deathstroke return. At one point, Deathstroke was set to become a major part of the DCEU, with Joe Manganiello slated to play the part in Ben Affleck's The Batman as well as a Deathstroke origin movie that would have been directed by The Raid's Garath Evans. As we know, those plans fell apart, so we only have Manganiello's brief scenes in both versions of Justice League to serve as a reminder of what could have been.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Joe Manganiello said that while he unfortunately doesn't own the Deathstroke IP and can't make any decisions in that regard, he does think that "fans' appetites are wetted for more, they want more." Ordinarily, I'd say that a fan campaign wouldn't make much of a dent towards getting a Deathstoke project off the ground, but we live in a society (sorry) where the Snyder Cut actually exists, so I'm not about to second guess it this time around. What say you? Do you want to see more of Deathstroke, either as a movie or an HBO Max series?
