Casting continues for Chan-wook Park’s English language thriller, STOKER, as THR has learned Dermot Mulroney (seen right) is the latest to join the impressive ensemble. As you may know, he’ll join Nicole Kidman (below), Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, Jackie Weaver, Lucas Till and Alden Ehrenreich.
From a script by Wentworth Miller (under the nom de plume of Ted Foulke): STOKER centers on an eccentric teen named India Stoker (Wasikowska) who, while mourning the death of her father (Mulroney), suddenly must deal with an uncle who mysteriously appears…and the strange things that then happen.
Given that description, it seems clear Mulroney’s part will be a smaller one. If his death springboards the crux of the plot, I’m willing to bet dude won’t even make it out of the first reel. Any takers?
Look for STOKER sometime next year.
