Case in point is the upcoming remake of the Jamie Lee Curtis slasher TERROR TRAIN (not to mention that other Curtis slasher remake this summer), except this remake is sounding more and more like not a remake at all, as it’s now being known as simply TRAIN. STYD had a chance to talk to director Gideon Raff over the weekend, who gave some details about the story of TRAIN… Check it:
It’s about a group of American athletes competing in Eastern Europe and they’re supposed to get on a train to continue the competition. And our group of people miss the train ’cause they went partying the night before. They get on a different train to catch up with their teammates and horror ensues.
Raff continues to say that this is an original screenplay and not a remake- so why do they keep referring to it as if it were? Probably because they think more people will go see it if they think it’s a remake… which is crazy, but probably true to the teeny-bopper masses. But if you’re truly looking for a remake, about a group of teens partying on a train on New Years Eve getting killed off one by one by a masked killer, you’ll be highly dissapointed.
