Devil battes MPAA

The boys over at had a chance to talk with a few stars from THE DEVIL’S REJECTS at the recent , and they had some interesting things to say regarding Rob Zombies’ current battle with those bitches at the MPAA.

Bill Moseley and Sid Haig, who also stared in HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES, said that Zombie is currently working with the MPAA by cutting the films juicier sequences down (including a scene with Haig and porn star Ginger Lynn had together…), as this films’ tone is a bit harder than CORPSES.

The good news here is that there’s going to be a director’s cut released of the flick on DVD, and Moseley also mentioned that Lions Gate might even release a NC-17 version of the film for a limited theatrical release as well.

This just goes to show that while something as horrorific as THE PASSION can get away with an R rating, there’s never love for horror films, which are probably more slashed up by the MPAA than the victims on screen. Gotta love Lions Gate though, as their love for the genre really shows by not bitching out when it comes to releasing films NC-17. Look for the trimmed down, R-rated (but never PG-13!) THE DEVIL’S REJECTS in theaters this summer.
