Combine William Shatner, Ernest Borgnine and the big-screen debut of John Travolta, and what do you get? The 1975 cheese-fest that is THE DEVIL’S RAIN, that’s what! Dark Sky Films today released details and artwork for the film, which also stars Ida Lupino, Tom Skerritt and Eddie Albert. The plot (notorious for its lack of cohearance) concerns a group of Satanists led by Corbis (Ernest Borgnine), who occupy the American rural landscape and who have terrible powers which enable them to melt their victims. Mark Preston (Shatner), son of Steve Preston, vows revenge on said cultists after daddy Steve was liquified in his arms.
Available October 31st at the cool price of $14.98, the film will be presented in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen. Extras for the disc include audio commentary with director Robert Fuest, a newsreel featuring Anton LaVey, High Priest of the Church of Satan, theatrical trailers, radio spots, and a still gallery.
