Paramount+ has released the official trailer for Dexter: Resurrection season 2, giving us a much better look at Brian Cox and Dan Stevens as the latest killers to cross paths with Michael C. Hall’s fan-favorite serial killer Dexter Morgan.
The new trailer arrives just weeks before Dexter: Resurrection returns for its second season, and you can check it out in the embed above.
Cox plays Don Framt, the New York Ripper, a notorious serial killer whose history has already made him a legend in the city. Stevens plays Owen Stark, also known as the Five Borough Killer, a younger murderer who is making a name for himself with a different approach. Both actors joined Dexter: Resurrection season 2 as series regulars.
The season will also feature Gabriel Luna as Ray Ballard, known as the Sleepy-Eyed Stranger, another dangerous figure entering Dexter’s complicated world.
Season 2 finds Dexter caught between two very different killers. One has decades of notoriety behind him, while the other is a new threat terrorizing New York and quickly building his own reputation. Meanwhile, Dexter has another problem to deal with: a mid-life crisis.
His son Harrison, played by Jack Alcott, is also continuing his own pursuit of justice, putting father and son on another dangerous path as Dexter tries to figure out what comes next for both of them.
Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter Morgan, with Alcott joined by returning cast members including Uma Thurman, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington, and James Remar. Season 2 also features Bokeem Woodbine and Nona Parker Johnson, along with Krysten Ritter in a guest role.
And if that wasn’t enough, horror fans can look forward to spotting Barbara Crampton and Kane Hodder.
Dexter: Resurrection season 2 premieres Friday, October 30, 2026, exclusively on Paramount+. The season arrives just in time for Halloween and during the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Dexter franchise.
The new season comes from showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, with Michael C. Hall also serving as an executive producer.
After bringing Dexter Morgan back from near-dead, the franchise is once again surrounding him with enough killers to keep his Dark Passenger busy. Now we’ll find out whether Dexter can survive having this many people hunting, competing with, and potentially learning from him.
