UPDATE: Dexter revival releases first teaser trailer

Michael C. Hall's lovable serial killer character, Dexter Morgan, is getting a new name and occupation for Showtime's upcoming revival series. According to the show's official Twitter account, Dexter's new name will be Jim Lindsay, and he's a sales associate for a fish and game company called Fred's Fish & Game. If you ask me, this seems like a fine fit for the former Bay Harbor Butcher, what with him now having easy access to so many sharp objects and whatnot. Oh, and the nets! Some of those are really well made and would give even the strongest of Jim's victims a tough time.

You can check out the new tease that reveals Dexter, I'm sorry, Jim's new deal below:

The original series finale of Dexter found the titular serial killer pulling the plug on his comatose sister Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) and dropping her body into the ocean before driving his boat into a tropical storm and faking his death. He had also sent his son Harrison and love interest Hannah (Yvonne Strahovski) to Argentina, promising that he would meet up with them later, but the final shots of the series found Dexter working for a lumber company in Oregon and looking miserable with his new beard. Thankfully, Jim has shaved that sucker clear off his brawny jaw for the new 10-episode season.

Joining Hall for the Dexter revival is Julia Jones (Wind RIverI, The Mandalorian), Alano Miller (UndergroundLoving), Johnny Sequoyah (Among RavensBelieve), Jamie Chung (Big Hero 6Gifted), Oscar Wahlberg (Manchester By the SeaSlender Man), Jack Alcott (The Good Lord BirdThe Blacklist), and Michael Cyril Creighton (SpotlightThe Post), with Clancy Brown (The Shawshank RedemptionStarship Troopers) playing a new serial killer for the series.

Clyde Phillips, the showrunner for the first four (and best) seasons of Dexter, will return to oversee the show's limited series return. Producing the revival is Marcos Siega, Hall, and Phillips.
