Starring Brett McKenzie, Jemaine Clement and Rhys Darby of the aforementioned HBO hit series, DIAGNOSIS DEATH is a tale about A supernatural force which brings together two lost souls undergoing radical treatment at an experimental drug-testing facility. When the facility is locked down for the weekend and the drugs take effect, the human guinea pigs experience sinister hallucinations pointing to a horrific double murder. Unsure of where reality stops, the apparitions become more and more threatening until the only way to leave the facility alive is to solve the haunting secret.
Ah yes…hallucinatory hospital horror, can’t beat it. When reading that synopsis, all I can think of is the Ken Russell film ALTERED STATES. Uh, I wonder why.
Co-writer Raybon Kan stars in the film alongside Jessica Grace Smith, Suze Tye, Bryce Campbell, Loren Horsley, Tina Regtien, Cameron Stevens, Lauara Surrich and Shelley Venning.
