Diary Featurette

I know you probably want to see DIARY OF THE DEAD just as much as I do, and luckily for us, we will be getting the chance too. But until we have a release date (sometime in early 2008) for this bad boy, we’re just going to have to settle for the buzz and the smal featurette that has been posted on the film’s official MySpace.

The clip just has George A. Romero talking about his latest DEAD flick. He explains how it’s more like NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD than the others. Romero really feels for his projects, which is badass. The clip is pretty sweet too, it’s entitled ‘The Roots’ and you can check it out here. Or below.

DIARY OF THE DEAD is about a group of filmmakers who stumble upon the beginning of the zombie apocalypse and have trouble accepting it’s true. It’s written and directed by the man himself George A. Romero. It stars Nick Alachiotis, Michelle Morgan, Matt Birman, George Buza, Joshua Close, Laura DeCarteret, and Amy Ciupak Lalonde. Although these are all no namers (a few sure to get noticed after this I’m sure), there are going to be a shitload of voiced cameos, which include Wes Craven, Stephen King, Simon Pegg, Quentin Tarantino, and Guillermo del Toro. This ones looking to be another Romero classic. It’s looking at a theatrical release in early 2008.
