Director says Warning to be Bollywood’s first 3-D horror film

I suppose we can stop denying it. The genre is really becoming the front-runner in this whole 3D craze isn’t it? It is. The upcoming genre flicks that are hitting us in three dimensions are way too many to name… and I’m sure we’ll be hearing about a lot more in the coming years. But is it all bad? Sure 3D can be a little over-the-top and could end up just being a gimmick that ruins a film… But it seems it’s also getting the genre out there a bit more after the whole ‘torture porn’ fiasco. See what I’m saying?

So there may be some good to 3D… And sure, most of us dig a fun 3D flick from time and time again. But making every flick 3D is just getting ridiculous. Along with this craze comes news that various international industries are jumping to the 3D craze. Today I’ve got news on Bollywood’s first 3D horror film!

According to Indian Express, Bollywood director Ram Gopal Varma is planning on bringing 3D to Bollywood horror with WARNING. Unfortunately no plot details or casting news is available for WARNING. Actually nothing is really available. Varma (above) says it’s too early to say anything about the film… Alright. My interest isn’t even tweaked here… If you’re going to come out and make a ‘big’ announcement about Bollywood’s first 3D horror flick… at least give us a little something to nibble on!

The director, who’s no stranger to the genre having directed 2003’s BHOOT and 2008’s PHOONK, had the following to say: “There are lots of things that need to be explored in India. The international market is doing great in 3D films and there seems to be a great demand for these kind of movies across the globe.”

Hopefully we get some solid details on WARNING sometime soon. As soon as we hear something, you will!
