Well folks after months and months of waiting SCREAM 4 is finally slashing up theaters across the country. The flick has been met with a somewhat mixed reaction and a fairly disappointing box office thus far, but that’s not stopping director Wes Craven from talking about more SCREAMs!
You see MTV recently had a chance to sit down with the genre legend and asked him what the plans were for the next two films in the proposed new trilogy. *SPOILERS AHEAD!!!* Considering the way SCREAM 4 ended it’s pretty hard to see this thing going anywhere without an entirely new plot being thought up. I suppose that’s exactly what Craven had in mind. Scope out what he had to say:
“I imagine the core characters will continue. I suspect they’ll be with us until the end, because they just are the heart and soul of the movie and especially since we tend to kill off most of the other people,” he said with a hearty laugh. “They’ll be with us. There will be some continuation of the drama of Sidney Prescott’s family and the ghosts that haunt it.”
*END SPOILERS!!!* Prescott family drama huh? That’s always fun. Hell that’s been the plan for four films so why stop now? What says you guys? Are you hoping to see a couple more solid SCREAM flicks head our way or were you not impressed with part four? Spit some bullets below and keep it here for all your SCREAM news as we hear it!
